i just cant sleep. some days i can.... some days i go with without
sometimes i get a couple hours then i am up all night

i havent had any significant changes in my life lately.... just still the drama with the ex carrying on.. i have dreams about him every night.. and theyre very hurtful
i also have dreams about my daddy who i thought loved me but disowned me a few months ago because he decided his 10 year old daughter and 8 year old son is more important than me.
i am glad i have my mom....and my every faithful hubby but i just cant get past all the bad stuff and i cant sleep

i wanna try and take sleeping pills but then again i dont wanna become addicted to them...

what should i do?

Free your mind of everything before you go to sleep. try taking 10mg of melatonin, its an all erb sleeping pill. there is no way you can get addicted to it. start with one then if it doesn't work move to taking 2 then 3 don't go higher then 3 night you gotta take it every night and it is sold at all drug stores

I agree with Dylan, and was going to suggest the exact same thing. Try taking melatonin pills. You can find them at your local pharmacy, and they're an over the counter medication. It's a natural chemical that your body makes on its own--it's your body's natural sleep aid which contributes to that "tired" feeling that you have when you get sleepy. It's completely non-addictive, and I know several people who take them with great results. I would definitely recommend it, and I think that will probably solve your problem and allow you to be able to sleep well at night again.

In all honesty, I would try the melatonin pills first. Melatonin is a natural chemical that your body produces to help you get to sleep and stay asleep. Marijuana is a drug consisting of chemicals the body doesn't produce which affect the synapses of the brain. I think the melatonin pills would be the better route to take in this case, personally. I would venture to say that they would probably be cheaper too.

If you are afraid of getting addicted to sleeping pills, then why are you thinking about smoking? You just have insomnia.Try looking it up on the web, or try to make a routine for yourself during the day that accomodates your insomnia. Good luck!

Benadryl does make one drowsy, but don't overdo it because it's meant to be used for allergic reactions. You may also not be getting enough exercise. Tire yourself out more

Sleeping pills make me feel like crap the morning I wake up.

I have sleeping problems too, and my life's fine. Usually when this happens, I just pull an allnighter because why waste the time just laying in bed when you could be doing other things. I allnight, head off to school then sleep after school (which has me waking up really early, thus fixing my sleeping pattern)

I wouldn't try sleeping pills as in the things that put you to sleep. I'd try something that relaxes you more. In the UK we have something called Nightol or something like that. It works very well on giving you a natural sleep and relaxes you.

You could try things to de-stress yourself and try listening to music or an audio book when lying in bed. Why? because it takes your mind off of your ex, as chances are you think about it constantly before sleeping.

Try a variety of things before turning to the tablets though. Speaking to your doctor can also help as he can suggest the best route to help you.

I've used a herbal tea called sleappy time tea and drink it brewed and hot (don't burn your self) about 30 min be fore you go to bed it worked wonders for me.

Thanks I've been able to get myself back in a regular sleeping schedule again and I've been able to free my mind before sleep. It seems sleep has been my only safe haven lately
