But... Okay, so, next summer, I'll have some cash to spend. I think, with that money, I want to get a new camera! My current one is going on ten years old, so I think I would buy myself a new one. Problem is, I don't know what I should be looking for. I know megapixels aren't everything, but I'm not 'advanced' enough to know all the technical terms yet. :P
I'll have a total budget of... oh, say... $900. Maybe more, maybe less. I'll just keep it around there.
I'm spending more time trying to take pictures whenever the opportunity arises. I mainly take pictures of... boats, planes, helicopters, race cars, sunsets/sunrises, cars, rockets/spaceships. But, the problem is, some of the things I photograph can stand still, where others can be hauling ass up into space, haha.
I kinda also want to expand into taking pictures of people- some of which could include nighttime stuff, and my camera HATES nighttime anything! :P
Like I said, I'd like to stay near $900. If it's a bit over, no big deal. I know Canon and Nikon are popular, but what do you guys recommend? What camera? What lens? Any accessories? Something that will do well in day and night?
I know it's a tiny bit of reading, but I'd really appreciate any advice.
Thanks much!
