I have an iPhone 3gs that i used to use. The problem is i jailbroke it with cydia. After the phone started slowing down by about 10% and using ridiculous amounts of battery, i decided to delete cydia. I had to do this using cy-delete, which is an app that cydia offers to.. delete cydia. Ironic, huh?
My question is, will doing a factory reset on the phone brick it? I've heard rumors of the phone becoming useless after restoring it once it has been jailbroken.
Also if it would brick the phone, is there another way to get rid of the cy-delete app? It still appears as an application and there is no way of removing it.

nope. once it is factory restored the jailbreak is gone and so is the unlock is you had one set up. my iphone is jailbroken and i agree it runs super slow... have you been using the multi-task option to close all your open apps
that might actually be part of your problem
change your screen setting. turn off wifi. and 3g when your not using them etc
it just means thats your warranty is void....

no problem. let me know your progress
i just know that it will work. because my boyfriend has jailbroken and restored several iphones and they just lost the jailbreak. when u restore it it goes back to original settings. you lose all updates... apps unless theyre backed up to your skydrive...
