Britain includes Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. These places have their own languages never mind accents. There are a HUGE variety of very distinctive accents over the British Isles just as there are in America, to the point where some of us have trouble understanding each other.

which accent do you prefer: My own, a very generic English accent, as I find it easier to understand due to the vast differences in pronunciation between various dialects of English, even just within the British Isles, let alone the North American continent.

English definately sounds more 'business' ish to me.
I do prefer the British accent on the grounds, some American accents are just awful on the ear.

There are various 'accents' throughout Britain, as there are in the States. The idea of a 'British accent' (as with the 'American accent') is, I'm presuming in this instance, a generalisation.
