hey yall,
i do Track in the spring, but id like to start getting in better shape ahead of time. I do the fast sprints and Long jump
Got any tips?

I'm a distance guy, but running a few miles 4-5 times a week will build up your cardio, and plenty of squats combined with core training will help build up your core and leg strength.

since you do sprints and jumping I'd suggest adding in explosive lifts to you're training like clean and jerks,,barbell snatches,and barbell cleans and presses

Sprinter here... I do most below 400m events
you just gotta do winter training, circuits etc. just to keep your general fitness up.
