Does anybody else work at an after school program or summer camp with kids? It isn't a job for the faint at heart but it's so unbelievably rewarding, and I can't be the only one who thinks so!

Do share :)

I don't help after school or over the summer, but I do volunteer in the library/resources department two lunch times a week.

Basically I organise the activitities for the younger students and issue/return books using the staff computers, help ensure law and order prevails and any other library related admin task (it really isn't complicated).

I do other things too because the library in my school is also the resources department, so I help with whatever needs to be done, for example I had to edit a spreadsheet the other day, adding around 100 students to an alphabetical list with 4 rows between each. It was quite a simple task but I realised how time consuming it would have been for a staff member.

Hope I've helped :)

I myself have done some work at an after school club with a few friends. It was very fun and you get to meet some nice people and the feeling you get from helping out is nice. I can't say its my dream job but yeah. Its defiantly a fun thing to do if you have the time. Sadly I can't do it anymore due to my schedule but yeah its fun.

Im in Scotland

So its a bit differant here

But I horse ride and we have 6 horses - we have a few kids from a residential care home come over and they just love it - its a lot of work on a voluntary thing but I like to help them - yes it is rewarding and so great.
