I can't tell if that's a typo or not... But Nicki Minaj can't sing. She raps. Her "singing" is autotune. And Lil Wayne can't even rap, let alone sing.

Anyways...

Adele, Freddie Mercury, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Cash, Whitney Houston, and Michael Jackson. I don't regularly listen to any of them (especially Frank), but there is no doubt they set an example for other musical artists.

Like over all... Cause I mean if we are singling it to a genre that makes more sense haha. For alternative - Kurt Cobain; country, between Johnny Cash and George Strait; pop, oh thats a hard one... Nothing from today, I like 90s pop haha.

There's Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Madonna, and The Beatles. I dont listen to any of them but they are what comes to mind when you think of famous music.

The question was distinct voices. So if you were listening to the radio and a Madonna song suddenly came on, you could instantly know whos singing?

This guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitas.

You hear super high falsetto and you know who it is. Well, if you hear some of his normal voice to distinguish between the sexes.

Michael Jackson, too. P!nk and Florence Welch also have fairly distinct voices.

First ones that come to mind would be Lil Wayne, Johnny Cash, Geddy Lee (Rush), Elvis, Stevie Nicks, Adele, Billie Joe Armstrong, Gerard Way, Hayley Williams.

A couple of those are probably just me (Billie and Gerard) but the rest pretty much anyone would recognize without fail.

Totally agree with that one.

I'll throw in Steven Tyler and Adam Levine.

Jeff Mangum
Billy Corgan
Bob Dylan
Conor Oberst

Theres plenty of other distinctive voices, but these guys have always struck me as having almost "bad" voices. I love all 4 but their voices out of context are awful.
