View Full Version : Something to help me forget besides alcohol

So I have been having some guy problems lately and for like three days I was so stressed I couldn't eat, laugh, or be happy. I was just a big hurting ball of emotions. So I got really really drunk last night. It's finally going away and now that I'm sober again, I feel all the hurt that I haven't felt for the past couple hours. I know alcohol shouldn't be used as a crutch, and I don't want to be someone who use it to escape life. But it was so nice to just not care for a while. Does anyone have a good solution to working through emotions that doesn't involve drinking/drugs? I just really need some relief because I am sick of being hurt over this.

Aww ;o; I know how you feel! There is no one worth a girl's tears except those who won't make them cry. If some dude is forcing you to drink like this, he isn't worth a single second of your time. You may like him, but it'll pass and you'll find someone who respects you and would never hurt you like this. If you like though, I do know a few pain-relievers...
1.tea! It may seem weird, but it's one of the best cures in this world( yes, I'm a herbalist) and chamomile, lemon balm, catnip and lavender are all great for balancing your emotions.
2. Listen to music, not rock, but Celtic, Owl city or happy and calm things that uplift you.
3. make new friends! they are the kind who help you with anything and r always there for you.
4. GO.SHOPPING...AT BATH AND BODY WORKS! 8D
5. watch some horror, action or fantasy movies, like the avengers and animated movies like wreck it Ralph( it's awesome for everyone and even better at the movies!)
6. write in a journal, which lets out all those un-needed emotions.
7. write a book!( yeah, I'm one and I LOVE IT!)

Try writing out a poem with all your emotions. Get your thoughts on paper. That always helps me.

I'm definitely going to try the tea idea!! and I've already met one new person who is helping me a ton right now
