To this day....I blame myself

Remembrance Sunday.... The 11th of the 11th.

To some it's all about remembering the soliders who died fighting for our country.

To me...It has a greater meaning.

The 11th of the 11th.....was the day I lost my best friend.

It happened 6 years ago now....I was 12 and she was 14. We were out and about on an unusually hot day....and decided to go swimming in the river.

The current was too strong for her.....it pulled her under and she drowned....

To this day, I blame myself...it was my idea, and I couldn't save her.

I don't sleep at night....because everytime I do, I see her face in the water... I relive the nightmare of my past.

To this day...It is my fault...and I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

its not ur fault, it never was and never will be urself. i like that u have this day to not only remember the troops but also remember ur friend. (in a non werid way)
i suggest go talk to someone about these nightmares they may be able to help and even help you to see that it isint ur fault these things happen its no ones faults. god had plains for her up in his kingdom <3 STAY STRONG
