So i just smoked a lot of weed for the first time, but I'm not feeling the effects. I realized I had just been breathing it into my mouth, and then exhaling. Does the THC stay in my system as long if I do this?

I don't know anything about marijuana except that it's pretty much pointless. That's just my opinion, but yeah I've no idea.

If your attempting to get high, you should inhale the smoke into your lungs not just into your mouth. There are specific techniques for smoking but the basics of all them are making sure the smoke reaches your lungs.

I'm not advocating smoking, just answering the question.

Well if you see it as pointless then you're right, you don't know much about marijuana.

If you want to get high you need to inhale into your lungs so that the thc can enter your bloodstream, which is what causes you to feel the affects of marijuana.

The thc content will most likely not stay in your body as long as it would if you inhale it. In fact, i doubt you were able to absorb any thc in to your bloodstream just by inhaling in to your mouth.

After smoking - and inhaling correctly - you can feel the effects of marijuana anywhere from 1hr - 3hrs, depending on your tolerance and bmi.

Cannabinoids will stay in your bloodstream/urine from 3 days for someone who rarely smokes, to 3 months for someone who smokes every day. Once again this also varies according to your bmi.

STOP. IT. NOW. I know it's "normal" these days, but it doesn't make it safe, or that you'll live to be even 40. Sorry to be a goody-goody, but several of my relitives who were the only ones to use it died young from it.

Weed isn't that dangerous, even science says that its less dangerous than alcohol and cigarettes. According to the site Above the Influence, they say Marijuana is only dangerous for developing lungs. Even then, not as dangerous as alcohol or other drugs. More people have died from prescription drugs than all of the Illegal drugs combined! So it's not to likely that your relatives have died solely because of marijuana use.

Well it's also been proven that if your family has a history of mental illnesses, smoking marijuana will increase your chance of getting schizophrenia.

Obviously not, I just said that to show that there is more to marijuana than just getting bad lungs and fewer brain cells.

------i am not promoting drug use im simply stating facts (ask for sources)------------

cannabis has been around for thousands of years (its a plant as you know) and for more then two thousand years of documented recreational use there hasnt been a single death associated with cannabis use alone. There are 0 deaths in the history of cannabis use, this is fact.

Well it's also been proven that if your family has a history of mental illnesses, smoking marijuana will increase your chance of getting schizophrenia.

this is entirely true, anyone with a risk of mental illness shouldnt take mind altering drugs of any sort, anti depressants arent good for you either as many get addicted (and some die from overdose) to anti depressants and other prescribed medication per year.

Obviously not, I just said that to show that there is more to marijuana than just getting bad lungs and fewer brain cells.
Smoking anything is bad for your lungs, vaping cannabis or cooking it in edibles is completely harmless to your lungs, and even so smoking it is not nearly as dangerous as cigarettes, there has been evidence that cannabis smoke can reduce lung tumour growth (ask for link). Cannabis also does not kill brain cells, that was concluded from a studied done back when Reagan was president. They suffocated monkeys with pure cannabis smoke (no additional oxygen) for 5 minutes a day, these monkeys then died from asphyxiation after 3 months with, unlike the monkeys that werent subjected to the smoke, many dead brain cells. They then paraded this throughout the media claiming it "fact" that cannabis kills brain cells when really it was lack of oxygen. After 4 years of requests to how the study had been carried out, they finally released the above details to the public.
