View Full Version : Smoking Rolled Up Leaves

So a few weeks back me and a couple of my friends were having a campfire when we were home alone. I'm not really sure why but one of my friends decided he wanted to try rolling up a leaf in some regular notebook paper and try smoking it like a cigarette. I have to say, it burnt nice and slow, just like cigarettes do and looked just like a cigarette too. My other friend tried it too, but I have enough respiratory problems as it is from having RSV as an infant, so when I was asked to join in I just took a puff into my mouth and blew it out (I didn't actually breathe it down my throat). Just that one puff was really cool though! Lol
So my question is, is there any danger to doing this? I'm mainly worried about both of my friend's health, not mine, because they were actually breathing it in, over and over.
Also, has anybody else done this?
****Neither me, nor my friends are druggies!! This was the first time any of us "smoked" anything!****

It's not good. An type of smoke is bad and can cuase lung cancer. I'm sure one time cant really hurt but I would not suggest not doing this again. :D

Just doing it once probably didn't do much harm, if any.
But you nor your friends shouldn't smoke that shit excessively because any form of smoke could give you lung cancer when taken into excess.

Every time i think i've seen the stupidest thing on this forum, i see something else that's even worse.
Notebook paper is made with bleach. I think you can take a guess at whether or not smoking bleach is bad for you.
Also, leaves? They can have anything from chemicals used to speed up the growing process of plants such as miracle grow, or any kind of fungus that could have been contracted by the plant while it was outside.
I'm sure doing this once wasn't necessarily bad for your friends, however if they make it a regular thing, it can lead to some adverse effects.

I could not agree with the bold part more haha.
But yeah, seriously... Notebook paper and leaves? Your friends are idiots. That can be harmful if smoked a lot. Next time they ask you to do it, you should probably tell them that it's dangerous, for the reasons this guy listed.

Yeah don't smoke anything thats not generally accepted for smoking. The one time is definitely not going to do any permanent damage to anyone, but continuing to partake in these types of activities just is pointless and detrimental to health.

..Have you ever seen stark white wood? Me either.
Notebook paper is made of various chemicals + dyes. Manufacturers dye the wood fibers to give the paper it's desired color, from there various other dyes are added to acquire the lines and margins that you would find on any regular loose-leaf paper.
Smoking bleach, and dyes, and whatever else the manufacturer decided to throw in is harmful. Continued smoking of notebook paper is - as i've said previously - undesirable, and will eventually produce adverse affects.

Well i wouldnt be worried about the leaves. But i would be worried about the notebook paper. That kind of paper is filled with chemicals. Real rolling paper for cigarettes in SUPER thin, and nothing like copy paper. I dont think its a good idea. Plus dosnt it taste gross?

Guys lets keep things nice and not insulting members. I have deleted 3 posts that were very much like spam and I have noticed a little bit of bashing going on in this thread. All I am saying is can we attempt to help the original poster without attacking/bashing him.
