it depends what you are talking about when you say Christmas music. I hate that Elvis drivel or some of that childish stuff but give me Shane MacGowan and the Pogues with Kirsty MacColl doing fairytale of New York or John Mayer covering Put A Little Love In Your Heart and that can be Christmas too.

Yeah, i like Last Christmas by Wham!, Let it snow by Dean Martin (not really about Christmas, but reminds me of it) and ofc All i want for christmas is you by Mariah Carey.

Charlie Brown Christmas is seriously the only christmas album you need and best christmas album ever. Nobody can say it isn't or they deserve to die for not understanding how cool Charlie Brown is.

I agree with you. Even the hit music station i listen to plays it in November and December. It drives me nuts.

Yeah I like Christmas music :P
It gets me in the mood for the holidays and shit. And it also gets me in the mood to watch the Charlie Brown Christmas movies, it's the only cartoon I still like and still watch from my childhood :P

When it's all over everything, it's unbearable.

Can't stand it really, especially 2 fucking months before the actual date. I have to play Let It Snow on my flue at the moment and I have the harmony that sounds nothing like it, it confuses me and is making me hate it all that much more.

I love most Christmas music, except for the overplayed versions on the radio. Wonderful Christmastime and the Bruce Springsteen "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" are cringe-worthy at this point. Never heard a version of Sleigh Ride that I didn't like, though. :)

I love Christmas music! It just depends though, I like the classic Christmas songs, and not really so much as the kids Christmas music.

Depends.
I HATE Christmas music. I tend to like music that isn't Christmas music, but just happens to be Christmas-based and I listen to that over the holidays.

I'll share first, rant later so the wall of text doesn't scare anyone off.

Realistic Christmas
"You scumbag, you maggot! You cheap lousy faggot! Happy Christmas your arse, I pray god it's our last."

wpkKPimVjm8
Realistic Christmas.
"Pour me another. Oh don't wag your finger at me."
"Bite tongue. Deep breaths. Count to ten. Nod your head."
"Get me outta here."

Not related to the last two, but I still like:
AaWPduHl_j8
Because it's got the Christmas feeling without the bullshit, and it's Nightwish's cover.

Past that, it's just stuff like Neighbourhood #1 - Arcade Fire, Winter - Tori Amos, Icicle - Tori Amos, City of Blinding Lights - U2, and Fascination Street - The Cure.

Oh, and I think I posted this last year too, but...

Christmas music is absolutely horrible. No one's Christmas can be compared to Christmas music. Christmas isn't about presents (well, you knew that) or Jesus or fir trees or snow or ham. It's family, obviously you saw that coming, but not in the traditional sense. It's about how much you hate your family, but if you tolerate them enough to be with them through the single most stressful day of the year. (Well, actually, it was a midwinter festival for food, drink, and sacrifice. But, in the modern age...)

Christmas was the only thing that kept my family seeing each other once a year. But when we did, we would inevitably piss the fuck out of everyone. Someone would say something rude about someone's daughter, commenting on mistakes made twenty years ago, how much of a jerk the man you married is. Then when things get really hot, with my aunt making the entire meal herself, and inevitably something happens, like last year, she literally had a breakdown when someone mentioned using the fine china.

I'm not bitter about Christmas music, that I can't have that Christmas. No, no. Christmas, to me, is the opposite of perfect. It's stress, but tradition. A way to come together when you wouldn't otherwise. One thing strictly against my morals is self-deceit, and listening to Christmas music is a minor form of that for me. I can't relate to sleigh rides and carolling and chestnuts, not even happiness. But for me, it's that sense of nostalgia that keeps me coming back. And this Christmas, my 21st Christmas, will be the first time ever I don't get to be in that house that now belongs to some other family, listening to my aunts bickering over the stove and storm out of the room in a flurry of shouting. It's just going be us five, no one is going to yell at anyone, maybe the kids, but other than that, no one. And I can't stand it.

So I don't want to hear a single NOTE of a Christmas song until at least the first of December. Well. That's a typical year though. I'd prefer more like the week of, but that's inevitable when you're at the mall shopping for presents.

Ah, Christmas music. Another event that the music industry exploits to make money out of. I'm not an entire scrooge though, I fekin love Fairytale Of New York. It's like the christmas anthem to me but yes, there are some that I just can't stand!

I love Christmas music, although I think that it should be banned from playing in shops and radio until like 1st December. Some shops in my area have already started playing christmas songs. Nothing beats the pouges with Fairytale of New York.

I like Christmas music, but only after Thanksgiving up until New Years. I love The Oak Ridge Boys, Elvis, and I bought Twisted Sisters Christmas album last year and loved it.

I like Christmas music when it's close to Christmas and I'm starting to feel the Christmas Spirit. I do not like Christmas music when it's overly cheesy and played non-stop from November-January.

I love xmas music! Especially those two that go like "Last christmas I gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it away.." and "All I want for christmas is youuuu..." :P I don't remember either the titles or the artists!

ChiliGuy, the first one is Last Christmas by Wham! Good song! I like Gary Hoey's guitar instrumental versions of Christmas songs.
