I am trying to figure out what ppl think is the definition of a slut. I'm 16 and I loooove sex, and I get with ppl, guys and girls, just for sex. Does that mean I'm a slut? Does the number of ppl I've gotten with mean I'm a slut?

So, basically, in your eyes what does it take to be a slut/whore?

I want to know partly bcuz there's a guy I like who I need to clean up my act if I have any chance of getting him... he would never go out w/ a slut. I dont know exactly what he thinks of me but I can kind of guess. :(

well, first of all, are you 16 or 18, cuz in your post you say 16, but your profile says 18.
Next, in my eyes, a slut is someone who just loves sex, but a whore is someone who does it no matter what the conditions and dresses with minimal clothing. but without knowing you i might call you a slut(not insulting), but if i knew you and your friend group i am not sure. Usually, the ppl in the "slut/whore" group don't think of them selves as that, only as ppl who like to party, but it is the ppl outside the group that call them sluts or whores. But as i am outside that group, i will label girls as sluts or whores and guys as studs(in the bad way, not the sports way)

ok, just wanted to make sure about your age. but to the point, i think your are more of a sex addict than a slut or whore, as you love it and "pretty much do it just for that all the time" so you do it with who ever, doesn't have to be a bf/gf. thats why i say more of a sex addict. And the clothing is probably the same of what a lot of the girls i know wear, but in the wrong friend group(drugs, alcohol, smoking, sex, and all of that shit). but if you just change your entire wardrobe, that could help with the clothing part. and as you have been with the most ppl of every one you know, i suggest getting a pregnancy test(read your other post), get checked for STDs and STIs, and find a sex addicts help place. thats all that i can come up with as i do not know you, but have had a friend in the same position.

The whole idea of a "slut" is based on the patriarchal idea that women exist solely to present themselves to a man in their purest form, and that sex is "impure," that women do not have the right to do with their bodies what they please. So no, you are not a slut. Nobody is a slut. Sluthood is ridiculous. I dont even know... I just feel like I always have wanted to since I was a little girl. Right now I feel really, really dirty so maybe that has something to do with it. i just need to calm down for awhile and not get so crazy. i tend to just get so excited in the moment and i cant stop myself, u know? i am SO bad at saying "no", too... i dont like to disapoint ppl.

My definitions.

They have no concern for others, no concern that they're risking someone's future and health, they only want sex and don't care when, how, where, or with whom they get it.

Now there's liking sex, and there's being one of those two things. You just need to find a line.

Society condemns women for loving sex, but its just fallout from centuries without a clear church/state boundary. In this case, the important thing is what he thinks about you. Be a nice girl with him and others, try to be "his" and if you can't, you couldn't do it as his girlfriend too. So try to say no because of him. And try to find out what he thinks of you. Start a conversation and read from his reactions.
Other way, I don't know what to say. There are some girls like you and you are young, but be careful.. And think it's not the most important thing. You may feel a bit bad first, but it will be good after a time.

To be honest, I don't think you're a slut or a whore, I think you're a human being with a sexual drive higher than others. Your desire for multiple partners is normal amongst many people in the world. What you need to do is find ways of releasing that sexual tension in a different manner such as masturbation or have a single partner who has the same sex drive as you. It's not about changing yourself but finding alternatives to what your needs are and learning to control them. Don't listen to these people who try to tell you to get your act together or call you a slut or whore (this is just plain degrading). You're a human being and you are unique with your own needs and likes. Be careful on what you do and always wear protection. I'm a sex addict myself but I have a single partner (we do it... a lot). Just be happy and submerged yourself on other things that take your mind away from sex. :)

Well, a slut is someone who is sexually promiscuous and has a lot of sex. So by that definition, I suppose you are a slut. But why does that have to be a bad thing? Why do we have to feel shameful of something natural? To me, saying "I am a slut" is the same as saying "I am gay" or "I have big feet." It's just one small part of who you are as a person. As long as you're doing it safely, there's really no problem.

As for the guy you like, don't feel pressured to change for him. You are the way you are. :)

Just be your self. I am beginning to think slut should not be such a bad word. If a person LOVES sex then that is her right. I LOVE sex in every way and I LOVE everything about sex. A slut is not always a bad thing
