Don't think it is a fetish....more of a sight that makes your sexual thoughts and hormones go. Like if you saw a sizeable one even if you were not directly thinking it you prolly had an indirect thought going.

Yeah, but you can't really see anything. It's just bulges of fabric. It seems like if you want to see another guys junk, you could do it in the locker room or showers when we don't have clothes on.

Other guys here have said they do it to compare, but to compare what? Bulges in fabric? It just doesn't seem like there is anything interesting or anything to be gained by looking at the exterior of a guys pants, that tend to have extra fabric to hold a zipper, then the zipper itself and under all of that, some underwear. Ya cant really tell anything from the front of a guys pants can ya?

If it's just basketball shorts, no zipper, it's still layers of fabric.
