First of all, I may just be a hypochondriac.
But, is it common for teenagers to get diabetes? I'm 16, 5'11, really active, and about mid puberty, but I eat a ton of sugar, more than most kids my age. Is it possible to get diabetes from just sugar intake or are multiple factors considered?

depending on your diet, you could get diabetes from only sugar, but if you balance your diet out with all of the healthy stuff and exercise, then you should be good, but just lower your sugar intake. but if you just eat sugar and don't exercise then you will get it, unless you have a high metabolism.

Well, I think a better question would be, have you experienced any symptoms of diabetes? While it is true that overconsumption of sugar can lead to diabetes, that's like saying that you break a lot of bones, need an x-ray every month, and probably have radiation sickness from the exposure without knowing whether or not you have the symptoms. If nothing else, you should cut down on the sugar. That's not healthy.

You can get it, yes. A friend of mine has it but he leads a completely normal life though.
