I'm thinking about getting one tomorrow (I've had the idea for a while now) and I just want to hear some opinions.

I think tattoos are great, on other people. I love them as an art form, but it makes me cringe when people don't take it as seriously as they should.

check out http://critink.tumblr.com/ before you go, educate yourself a bit, just so you don't get something stupid.

Well I think tatoos look kinda ugly ( just my opinion ), but on some people, depending on what the tatoo is, it looks kinda cool.

I've just never really liked tatoos.

Tattoos are amazing. They can whatever the hell you want. No words. They're just incredible.

And extremely popular and with their growing popularity come wanna-be
tattooists, ... they're not incredible.

i think tattoos are fine. they sort of express who you are. but you should chose your tattoo wisely as it is hard to remove them.

I love tattoos. They can be wonderful art, reminders of a person or event, they are an addiction. But they are an incredible addiction.

I love tattoos. I'm probably going to get a few small ones when I'm older, one on my outer arm similar to my dads which is a rose with my half brothers name (his first son) and I also want one maybe on my hand which is the name of my favourite music artist.

Tattoos are freaking awesome, but just food for thought, think long and hard () about what to get, Tattoos are for life, so ask yourself can I see myself with a ______ tattoo on my ______ when I'm 50 years-old. Make sure its something you love, or that represents you. Also they can be painful and are not cheap, unless you want diseases. ;)

I think that tattoos are the third most awesome thing, Next to Metal and beer:P But if you are going to get a tattoo, Get something thing that when you are 40 with three kids, will not make you look back and think "I was a dumass
when I was younger".

I love tattoos more than Donald Trump loves power....I think. First, find what you want and where you want it. It should be something meaningful and timeless - you don't want to have your grand kid asking you why you have Snooki's face on your back when you're fifty. Make sure the tattoo studio you're going to is clean and trustworthy. You don't want to get an infection because you got it done for 1.50 out of some guy's garage who used a torch and a rusty nail. Anyways, good luck. I've heard it gets addicting after you get the first one.

I think they're pretty cool, at least some. I might get one if I ever find something significant to get one.

Tattoos chosen and gotten by intelligent and responsible individuals are usually all great. I prefer smaller tattoos with meaning than large picture tattoos that just look cool. But the body is a canvas.

I kinda wish some people took them more seriously and others loosened up about it. They're tattoos, guys, be serious. But come on, they're just tattoos.

I personally am not a fan of tattoos, but if they represent something significant in your life, like a family member who has died or a belief, then that's something that I can respect. Otherwise, don't get one just to get one because you will probably regret it later in life

Personal advice/Opinion: Never get one which isn't a part of you or about you i.e. anything out of your control that could change like a boyfriend or girlfriend.

It has to be something you want to remember forever!

A few that are small and classy are ok, but I'd much rather see a fit person's skin and body without distractions and clutter, and see the artwork itself in another context. I agree some people are addicted, but I personally don't see that as a good thing. Same with piercings. If you get one make sure you get the spelling and grammar checked, and use a good artist. There are an awful lot of really (https://i.chzbgr.com/completestore/12/11/7/oNG8kOGdKEWA_AnG5p-81w2.jpg)bad (https://i.chzbgr.com/completestore/12/10/22/63vQq8vADkWcHRDnTz2trQ2.jpg)tattoos (https://i.chzbgr.com/completestore/12/11/7/oNG8kOGdKEWA_AnG5p-81w2.jpg)out (http://cheezburger.com/6703625472)there (http://cheezburger.com/6696004864).

I'm iffy on them, some are ok, but the majority I think they look kinda stupid (and somewhat trashy). If you are going to get one and you're confident that in 60 years you'll still like it just the same, by all means get it! It's up to you!

For me, it's against my religion. Though I would actually consider getting one, it would upset my mother and it would probably end up bothering me, so I don't plan on it. However, I like seeing small, meaningful, expressive tattoos on other people - I just don't like when people do huge, intricate tattoos that cover a whole limb or something. Unless it's on their back - any and all tattoos can go on a person's back or around their waist and it doesn't bother me at all.

Not my body, not my place. I myself would never get them, too chicken ; D but I love ones with words, expect when they're in a spot close to a body part. I promise I'm not staring at your boobs, just trying to read what's on your chest.

I'm against tattoos that aren't vegan.
Other than that, I think they're attractive on some people but I don't want to date someone who has one and I don't want one myself.

Tattoos make women look unfeminine and men undisciplined.

That is the most dumbest thing I have ever heard, I didn't know having my grandma's name on my arm, within a heart make me look undisciplined? And not all women are feminine some love that stuff, tattoos, in this day and age are rapidly becoming more and more popular.

Don't get any tattoos. They're for the rest of your life. Things that might seem awesome right now might not be so gr8 in another 70 years or even in 10 years. My uncle has a bunch and I just don't like them.

Ha, oh man.. undisciplined? Did you know that shaolin monks endure countless hours of scripture from the tipitaka being tattooed on to their backs? They don't use motorized tattoo guns either. They use legitimate needles that pierce their skin countless times, slowly. The pain from a modern day tattoo gun is a luxury compared to what they go through.

And do you know why they do it? It's part of their training, the "unconditional obedience" part. Which you know, is more discipline than you'll ever have, regardless of the way you choose to modify your body.

Anyways; my opinion on tattoo's / body modification is indifferent. I find many forms of modification fascinating, and i can't wait until i'm old enough to get my tattoos. :yeah:

I love tattoo's. I think they look awesome (for the most part). If they have good meaning, then I say go for it. I want two of them.

Love them. I have one of my own on my leg. Tattoos are awesome in my opinion, but only if they have true meaning behind them. In my opinion, I wouldn't get a tattoo just because it looks cool, I learned my lesson, I have two self-made stick and poke tattoos. But yeah man, by all means go ahead and get your ink. :D

If a person wants to get a tattoo, then good for them. It's their body, and their decision. Personally, I'm indifferent. I don't particularly want a tattoo, but I do admire the body art of other people.

I personally think tattoos are very rarely something your are satisfied with when you are older. Most people end up regretting them, meaning they went through the painful process of being stabbed with a needle over and over just to be unhappy with the result. The only Tattoo I would get is one for a medical reason (certain diseases require you to wear jewelry or get a tattoo saying you have the disease). If you have really thought about and think this is something you would want to have when your in your 30s and up then go ahead, but I strongly recommend you don't. (sorry if I sound like I'm forcing opinions!)

You make no sense why would people plan a tattoo just to be unhappy, even "older" people get tattoos, the only time I see people are unhappy if the tattoos was so far off from the design, like some how they messed up, or they go to a place where the place is dirty, etc.

Sorry, I guess I phrased that poorly. Many people will get a tattoo that at the time they thought was really cool but as an adult they found they wish they hadn't gotten them. I know most people my age seem to really like the idea of tattoos but I just don't...

Most of ya'll probably expected me to bring in Lecrae (my role model), but he presents some very valid points.

It isn't a sin, so I don't mind it. I'm going to get a tattoo on my wrist when I become of legal age.

Tattoos are tattoos. They are a symbol of freedom of speech. Though sometimes people overdo it.

In my religion, your body was created by God, so it shall go back to God as it was created. I abide by that and plan to my whole life. It's basically like poisining the outside of your body, littering on the outside of your body, and etc.

I think tattoos are a terrible thing and they just ruin your body.

Just Kidding! I love tattoos and plan on getting a lot of them when I grow older. Just be wise in choosing because you don't want to get something you'll regret in 2 years or 50 years. :D

I say dont get a tatoo. This is because once you get one, it can't be removed unless with a laser thing which like cost a lot! I recommend getting a henna tatoo. I always get those :) dont ruin ur body.

Plus one. If I ever get one, it will be a small "David," for my deceased uncle on my father's side, and a "Blake," for my deceased uncle on my mother's side.

Of course, I won't actually get one.

Also, follow the deep v-neck rule. Get a deep v-neck undershirt. No part of the tattoo should show from under it.
