I wanted to make this thread so others can see and understand if they want to learn, and so other people can add ones I've never heard of so I can learn. :) I know there is a very good post on this already, but it only named the big names.

These are the terms I'm aware of:
Homosexuality: a person who is attracted to the same sex/gender.
Heterosexual: a person who is attracted to the opposite sex/gender.
Gay: a man who is attracted to males.
Lesbian: a woman who is attracted to females.
Bisexual: a person attracted to males and females.
Pansexual: a person attracted to personality regardless of sex or gender.
Asexual: little or no sexual attraction to others.
Polysexual: similar to bisexual, but person acknowledges and is attracted to more than two genders e.g may be attracted to a female who is gender-fluid.
Demi-sexual: a person who doesn't feel sexual attraction to a person until they have a strong emotional connection.
Autosexual: a person who prefers masturbation and/or are attracted to themselves.
Pomosexual: someone who doesn't identify with conventional sexualities.
Androsexuality/Androphilia: a person attracted to masculinity, not necessarily males.
Gynesexuality/Gynecophilia: a person attracted to femininity, not necessarily females.
Queer: a person who is not heterosexual and wants to acknowledge it without conforming to a conventional sexuality.
Omnisexual: a person who does not have a sexual preference and may be attracted to everyone equally.

Of course, you do not have to fit in a box, everything is a spectrum that varies in intensity. That's why pomosexuality exists. If you are pomosexual, you don't even have to identify with it, that's not the point of it's existence, the point of it is just to explain so people know it is possible to not name your sexuality. Then there is also genders and romantic orientation as well, but they're not for this post. :)

Add any you know of that aren't up here, or feel free to name anything that needs correcting!

what about homoromantics?

I guess, since that's a romantic attraction instead of a sexual one, it doesn't really belong on the sexuality list... but idk.

I guess Marcrophilia would count, but not vorarephile because it's not a living thing, it's an action, so it's kind of more of a fetish. This list is about attraction to different types of people. :)

That's not relevant. Sexual orientations aren't paraphilias.

I looked at a list of all the possible sexual orientations on Wikipedia once, and I remember having to scroll down a few screenfulls just to see them all. I don't think you've covered all of them.

Up until now I thought "queer" was just an offensive term for homosexuals. Now I know. Thanks.

Yes, I scrolled down the list. I love scrolling. I have a mouse with a wheel that can scroll sideways. I scroll.

I know trans* people are included in the LGBT community, but this post is for sexualities only. Transgenderism and transsexualism is more to do with gender and sex. :)

Bi-romantic is a term used in the asexual community to describe romantic attraction to more than one gender, despite the lack of sexual attraction.

Hetero-romantic refers to attraction to the opposite gender, and homo-romantic to one's own gender. A-romantic would refer to a person with no romantic attraction, but still potentially sexual attraction.
