Hey guys and girls I was just wondering... I have mild acne break outs, not really bad, but sometimes a bad zit or something, or a small patch of pimples... I was just wondering which type of daily face wash you guys use, and if it seems to work... I am also looking for a type of face wash not a type of "Proactiv"

I've been blessed with good skin, I rarely get zits and all I do is rub my face with a soapy washcloth every night before bed and every morning in the shower.

Rubbing alchohol always works for me.

What do you do with that? Do a full face wash? Just rub it on the infected area?

Hydrogen peroxide is excellent for cleaning out your oily pours. And sometimes it will disolve the pimples righ tin front of your eyes. It is rather inexpensive and you can get it in any Wslgreens, Osco or CVS.

I have acne prone skin. I have perfect skin from eating fruit salads and a meat. Say away from to much grease food. I use a face wash and then a facial peal mask and then a really good cream mom bought that has healthy enzymes for the skin with natural minerals . So from acne everywhere to clear skin 2 months

 VT General Hospital. Even though this is dealing with a puberty related "problem," it fits better here because it's more relating to health/wellness.

that is actually not effective in most cases. some dermatologists say that it will dry up your skin TOO much, as in taking away all the oils. you have to have some oils in your skin, and your brain knows that. so in refute, the skin gives off more oil, so that it can go back to it's normal amount of oil.

Things to try:
salicylic acid (found in aspirin and some topical meds)
Benzoyl Peroxide (this one may irritate your skin if it's sensitive like mine so start at a low concentration.)
It also helps if you get some oil control film which will keep your skin less oily and therefore make you less likely to break out.

I have a natural wash I got from Whole Foods called acnedote by alba organics which I use in the morning, and clearasil before bed at night. I started taking a zinc supplement too, which definitely helps.

I found the largest factor that helped cleared mine up was getting enough sleep, sleeping earlier and putting less stress on myself too.

I have acne prone skin. Oily, greasy, but only really get a break-out when my hormones are flying around.

How often do you wash your wash if you are now? Maybe cutting back would help you. I washed my face twice a day, daily. Turns out I was over stimulating my oils and making my break-outs worse, no matter what brand I was using.
So I stopped washing my face and BOOM, clear skin. I exfoliate with granulated sugar at least once a week or every other to get rid of dead skin and for 2 years I've barely had any break-outs.

Try clean and clear facewash, it works pretty well for me. Rubbing alcohol pads also work really well for me. Just rub it across your face, and it will take off all the extra oil.

my skin is super oily and I do that too sometimes but it dries the skin and leaves the pores open to more zits :( I just wash my face offten with soap (dove) and water and try my best to keep my hands off of my face.

Use a glycerin soap with warm water twice a day, and apply Desitin (Zinc-oxide ointment) after each washing. If you can only do it once that's fine too, because it stays on for a couple hours and is really white. You don't want to put it on right before school and go around looking like you just got jizzed on.

I have bad acne (of course others say it's bot that bad...), and I went to my doctor, and he prescribed me Benzoyl Peroxide gel cream stuff. I wash mah face with dove soap, and let the gel dry on after my face dries.
I has no moar acne!
Magic

But if you do sports, the dried gel can get into your pores and it stings, but no bigee.

I use different types of face wash but when I have a pimple i wanna get rid of quickly, I put toothpaste on it and then it goes away. Not immediately though, you put it and it will burn but after it stops burning wash it off and then waite a while and it will be gone. If it doesnt work im not the same face type as you but my sisters friend told me and it worked .

Definite on that. I use Clearasil?(sp?) with that and it is the best one. I never get a zit or anything. My brother whose 25 uses it on occasion and it clears his skin if he gets one (I swear he is still in puberty lol).

I've had reasonably bad acne for 5 years but no face wash would ever work so i had to go to the doctor where i got anti-biotics and face cream.
