A couple who struggled to have a baby were stunned when doctors said their laptop was to blame.
Scott Reed was told having the appliance on his lap had caused heat damage to his sperm.
And, as a result, the 30-year-old electrician and his wife, Laura, also 30, were finding it harder to conceive.
Mr Reed started using his laptop on a table instead and three months later Mrs Reed became pregnant with baby daughter Taryn.

I thought that's been news. We learned in 7th grade, 6 year ago for me, that electronic devices in general shouldn't be put near testicles because it'll cause damage. Laptop's heat can heat up the scrotum and sort of fry the sperm o: At least they got their baby!

This is why I use a lapthing, instead of putting the laptop directly on me.

If I'm in bed on my laptop, not only do I have pants on, but I'll also usually have a blanket over me and under the laptop. Same thing if I'm on a recliner/laying on the couch.
I think I'm safe... Not that I really care about fertility anyway.

Whenever I use my laptop it is always on a desk. So this isn't a problem for me.
If I was going to have a child I would probably adopt. So I really don't care about my fertility.

Even though this information has been passed around before, it's nice to know that it isn't permanent, at least in this case

All computers get hot. There was nothing wrong with their laptop.
