In Love or Like

How do I know if you are in love with your boyfriend and not in like? We have been going out for a month but we have been best friends for 5 yrs.

if you have to ask because you don't know, you're more than likely "in like".

Also, you've been best friends for 5 years but a couple for 1 month. Being best friends and being boyfriend and girlfriend are two different things, they're separate territories and completely different rides.

I think that love is a stronger emotional bond compared to that of just liking someone. I mean, once you accept someone's flaws and stop trying to change them and things like that, you're starting to cross the boundaries that separate them. However, everyone has a different opinion on what the difference is and there won't ever be two same answers. Love is a very complex thing and to even begin defining it, I personally think you have to know in yourself what you believe love is. Every relationship if different, but I do think it's easier to be in 'love' with someone if you've known them for a long time because it doesn't end up feeling like you have to work at it.

Love feels different for each personal. However some aspects are generally the same such as a strong emotional bond. Its rather hard to describe. I think you'll know yourself when the time comes. Think about how you truly feel and don't let "What if" thoughts cloud your judgement.

Keep an open mind and think about it and you'll most likely find the answer.

You can't be pretty sure. Love is something you can confuse with other emotions/verbs but it isn't something you mistake if it's legitimate love and not some puppy love.

But here's something opening new doors, why don't you want to admit it if you are indeed in love?
