I have a huge crush on a personality.

So this boy that had a thing with me.. we had this... relationship. I'd rather not talk about all of that.

But he has dissociative identity disorder like i do, and i believe i have fallen for his double, pim. I am just wondering it if would not be okay to date a double, as long as the boy is okay with it.

While I will admit this is not something I know too much about in great detail....

I would advise against it. I mean you'd have to obviously talk through this with the person in question. However what about sudden/slow changes in personality and mood swings. Then you would have to see about his other personalities....which must be complicated to say the least.

I wouldn't recommend it. However I guess you could try and talk to the persons who you are talking about in the above post and see his views on it....

That doesn't sound like a good idea. That sounds like cheating to me too. You like Pim but what if he gains another personality and they fall for someone else? There will be two, maybe more, people to one body hoping the personality they're in love with emerges for their happiness and the sake of their relationship.

You like Pim more than the dominant personality, and you said yourself have the same disorder. I myself need more detail on your disorder, is it as severe as his and do you also have a double? If Pim starts to...die...and is replaced by something worse, what will you do? Will you continue to date Alex/Pim or Alex/Bruce/Jim?

What if the boy in question gets help and becomes one personality? Because Pim is gone more often/hidden where will your feelings go and will you try to work against his treatment to keep Pim?

Though I agree with Skyfall, you can always talk to the boy in question and figure something out.
