i'm 14 and i seriously want to get skinny again. a few years ago i used to be really slim and i was really light, my bmi was about 17, then when i started high school and my diet changed and things, i began to get fatter and now i have folds and such, and stretch marks on my thighs and bum. it makes me feel so ugly and i dont want replies like "accept yourself" and "it doesnt matter what other people think be yourself" because i hate this and its not that people think i'm fat, because i dont let them see how fat i am so they dont know. its just how i feel about myself and my low self esteem.
i used to have time to exercise and i was able to have a healthy diet, so thats how i used to be skinny. but now i get home really late from school and i have no time at all for sports because of homework and my volunteering. i also struggle to eat healthily because the school food is terrible and i have no time to make lunches, our home meals arent too healthy and i find i snack because my meals are very far apart. i want some help and advice of how i can get slimmer and fit exercise into my lifestyle, please help me guys!

I didn't read your whole paragraph but i was fat when o i was 10-14. You'll thin out. Eat healthier, make time in your schedule to lift weights and cardio, and you'll slim down as you keep growing. Don't worry man. I've seen 40 year old fat men get abs. You got this.

Listen this is what do, wake up an hour earlier and go for a run, it'll be hard at first but soon you'll love them,
Next skip dinner every so often, never pig out, always eat breakfast etc,

I have recently began not snacking. I used to snack, like all the time (whenever I was doing homework, bored, tired, etc.) and as of last week I stopped doing that and started eating regular healthy and proportionate meals. I feel so much better and have lost a few pounds in just a week! I'm not fat, more just chubby so my goal really isn't to lose a ton of weight. I just want to slim down a bit and so far it's working! :) and its not very hard to do either.

A bmi of 17 is underweight...and folds and stretch marks do not mean you're fat.
My stomach folds when I sit down, my thighs puff out when I sit and my butt, hips and breasts have stretch marks from random growth. I'm 5'2" and desperately trying to gain, at 94 pounds I am a hideous skeleton.

If you really want to lose some body fat with the schedule you have, quit snacking and cut back on volunteering. Your health comes before your volunteer work, no matter what it is, I'm sorry to say it but give to yourself and your health before anything else. If something's wrong with your health, you're not much use in helping others. If you have money, buy your own health food and hide it from others to eat for yourself.

When it comes to the benefit of your health, it's ok to be selfish (: Hopefully you do not live too far away from school, jog to school and when it's time to leave, jog home. If you're too far, get home as early as you can, maybe jog around the parking lot if you drive. Finish your homework quickly and jog afterwards if you have no means to jog any other time. Do not jog more than twice a day for at least an hour, your knees and joints won't be able to stand the motion and impact very much.

Check out the MyPlate site. Just google, My Plate and it'll be able to help you organize your diet, nutritional facts and help you walk the path of healthy weight gain (:

I think the best thing to do is walk as much as you can; use the stairs, walk to school; if you can, leave an hour or two during weekends to go on walks or runs! I find walks very relaxing, you can even go window shopping at the same time!
Try to eat healthier, don't skip any meals and try to substitute healthier versions!

E.G. For breakfast, eat something like a boiled egg and a warm drink (preferably without milk) have toast with only a LITTLE butter.
For Lunch eat your school meals (if there are healthier options, try it! or have less carbohydrates than you normally do) with water ONLY.
For dinner, try steamed vegetables (you can buy a bag of these in your local supermarket and just dump them in hot water! They're cheap and filling!) with some grilled meat or have risotto with boiled veg of your choice.
For snacks have celery sticks, crackers (try not to have salted ones), a handful of dried fruit and nuts!

Remember that you should control your portion sizes!
I also recommend seeing a doctor before you try to lose more than 5kg, just in case you get ill by losing too much weight too quickly!
If you want more advice, just message me! I helped my sister lose 10+ kg, it took a long time but it's worth it!
