Is there certain states that can vote early? Or does every state vote early?

2008 Obama won a clear victory, but has he, in a way, hurt himself with his supporters? There have been tons of people that I know who voted for him in 2008, but now are so disappointed with his results that they're voting for Romney. If its happening here, then I know its happening all over the country. How tight do you think the election will be?

Take the following into consideration:
4 Weeks ago (according to Fox News) Obama was in the lead (of national polls) by a whopping 6%. Now that it's closer to the election, Romney is in the lead by just 2% (8% gain for Romney). News stations have even said that Romney is slowly rising in the national polls and it will be a tighter election that what people have expected it to be (I've seen CNN, Fox News, and Local news station say the same thing).

...yes, you can vote early via absentee ballot. Have you not been watching the news recently about early voting?

No, it shouldn't be allowed for certain people. It needs to be reserved if you are out of state on the election day, are disabled/elderly and can't get out of the house, or are active duty military and deployed overseas. Early voting is a political tool and the fact that the Obama campaign has played it to their advantage is no better than rigging a boxing match.

Not all states have early voting.

Like Dakota said, there are some exceptions.
Honestly, I think unless you have no absolute way of getting to the ballots on election day, there's no need of voting early.

I have no personal opinion no really even care on how close I think the election will be. I'm voting for whom I'm voting for, and whomever becomes president is who becomes president. Doesn't matter who was 2% or 4% in lead, especially once the winner, well, wins.
