Palms face down on the floor.
You cry into the dirty carpet
When you can't contain it anymore.

Shivering hands that just won't quit.
Dead leaves in the wind,
Breaking apart bit by bit.

Are You breathing?
Remember to inhale.
Did you forget how, when you heard me leaving?

I'm sorry that I wasn't there
When you unwrapped yourself from the sheets.
And, the truth is, I tried to care.

You're a beautiful disaster,
But beauty means nothing to me.
You just made my heart beat faster.
