Ha! First post after so many years. I'll get to the chase.
I am now serving in the United States Military and I think I am having some Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome from Basic Military Training (BMT or a.k.a. Boot Camp). I'm thinking of maybe talking to a base psychologist but maybe I should ask around first.
This was my experience.
I would sometimes get flash backs of an MTI screaming in your face and making you get on face to do push ups as punishment. I had the worse run time out of the entire squadron but I was able to pass barely. So the amount of stress from that was immense, thinking if you can pass or not. Not to mention we were deprived of sleep and starved the entire 9 weeks. So I'm surprised I graduated and still be standing but now whenever I think about it I become anxious about what I went through.
