Ha! First post after so many years. I'll get to the chase.
I am now serving in the United States Military and I think I am having some Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome from Basic Military Training (BMT or a.k.a. Boot Camp). I'm thinking of maybe talking to a base psychologist but maybe I should ask around first.

This was my experience.
I would sometimes get flash backs of an MTI screaming in your face and making you get on face to do push ups as punishment. I had the worse run time out of the entire squadron but I was able to pass barely. So the amount of stress from that was immense, thinking if you can pass or not. Not to mention we were deprived of sleep and starved the entire 9 weeks. So I'm surprised I graduated and still be standing but now whenever I think about it I become anxious about what I went through.

I definately think you should go see a doctor. I think that this is very well something that should be taken seriously.

Welcome back, I hope you stick around!

I don't think it's a serious condition that maims me from my job but it does bother me a little if someone were to shout with an angry tone at the top of their lungs. I'll see if I can get an appointment sometime later in the future to talk about it. Now as long as I don't see a guy in a smokey hat in uniform.
