Alright, so my mind has been exploding.
I'm so worried about when it will start again.
I first started my period on October 15, 2012. It stopped on October 18, 2012. It's not heavy, if that helps figure it out.
When will it start again? I just want to be ready. I know I will probably be in school when it starts again, and I'll hate that.
I'm 13, 8th grade. My peers will laugh at just about anything, and if they see my blood they will freak and never forget it. I'm freaking out, I think about it all the time. I hate it.

Hey don't worry and don't start to hate your periode, it is not bad. Evry girl get it, even at school. Just be prepared and have pads or tampos, so what you use in your bag. Your periode will probably start between 21 and 33 days after the start of your last one. Can you talk in your famaly about it?

If it starts in school, you'll notice. It won't just start gushing out, it will start with so little blood it won't even hit your underwear at first, it comes on slow. If you're really worried, just go to the toilet each break, maybe every two hours or so. Keep pads in your bag at all times. Forget what anyone else thinks. Menstruation is completely normal and natural, even though it can be a bit icky.

Since you've just started, don't assume it will come every four weeks, it might be very irregular, and that's normal. Mine took two years, give or take, to finally get a pattern going, and it happens every three weeks. Some girls have 2 weeks in between, others 6. Doctors say 4 weeks, because that is the AVERAGE time.

As a personal guess, from experience, I'd say 3 - 5 weeks. Until then, I recommend stocking up on some pads, try different ones, start with 'medium/average', when it comes back and you find mediums last a long time, go for thin or extra thin, the smaller you go, the more comfortable it is, but whatever size you decide on, it will get comfortable over time and putting them on will get easier (I'm assuming you haven't used tampons). Also talking to your mum, or sisters, close friends, or Internet friends. Don't get your information off horror stories or single websites.

When you first start out it can be really irregular. I got my first one in October but didn't get my second until January or so, because your hormones are still kind of whacky.
The only way to know that you're ready is to have pads or tampons with you. Sorry :(

When you first start there is honestly no way in knowing when the next will come. It could be a couple weeks to a couple months. I've been on mine coming up to two years and it's still extremely irregular- so much so that sometimes I'd miss months and sometimes I'd have 2 in one month. Like Ellen said the best you can do is to carry some pads with you at all times and hopefully things won't be too bad.

To try and ease your worries my first time was actually in school and I didn't know what the hell had happened. I just asked my friend if she had a pad and that was that, it is very very unlikely anyone else will see blood. Don't stress yourself out about it, just remember that every girl has to go through the same thing.

Good advice here. Always have spare tampons or pads with you. If your cycle remains consistent, you can expect it to average 3-4 weeks apart.

don't be embarrassed your friends will have it to and they will know what you are feeling
