It's for whatever you want it to be for. Any topic that doesn't fit in a section very well can be posted there. If you want to post something that's very personal and you may be nervous about posting in a public section you can also post it there because it is for members only. Anything goes basically -- as long as it's appropriate and is not spam.

Well yeah, but it's also for things off-toppic too. For example, someone has reached a certain number of posts, and they feel good about it, so they make a thread about it in "The White Padded Room" forum about them reaching that certain post number. So yeah, you can basically post anything off-toppic there, anything from celebrating a certain number of posts, or bitching about stupid shit. So if you want to make an "off-topic" thread, do it in the White Padded Room, that's basically what it's for.

If you look at the topics, it isn't just about letting off steam.

it's also for little things like post count announcements. :P it's members only so a lot of people put things there that they don't want others to see.
