so i have been feeling like throwing up for about 2 hours now. i have only eaten two slices of pizza, but i have drank quite a lot of water. now, just above the navel and between the curves of the rib cages, there is a hard lump. is this just the liver going through the water or what. also when ever i lie down, i fell like throwing up even harder. only way i can be comfortable is sitting? any help?

It's almost impossible to drink too much water, and if you did then you would go into renal (kidney) failure, which may cause nausea and vomiting but not within the time frame you've implied. I don't know what this is, but it will probably pass. See a doctor if it continues, and I hope you feel better soon.

ust above the navel and between the curves of the rib cages, there is a hard lump.
If its painful you could be looking at a herniated bowel, or if not so painful a Epigastric hernia, or a bowel obstuction or ...

On the basis you have a lump in a strange place I'd get yourself seen by a doctor asap.

Is the lump physical, e.g you feel it? or is it more of a "I feel like there is a lump".

If it is a physically lump that doesn't go away within 24-48 hours contact a doctor as it is never a good sign, well it can be nothing but it is always something to get checked out. So if it doesn't go away within 48 hours I would recommend making an appointment with your Doctor or GP.

I would have to say I disagree with this statement, saying its almost impossible to drink too much water is disagreeable, while yes you can never cause too much harm, drinking a lot of water can give you some mild discomfort that should pass within a few hours, especially if you have drunk a lot and have had some food, it can leave you feeling like you have lump in your stomach as it takes time for your kidneys to process the water and food and if its in a short period of time it can leave you feeling bloated and cause some mild discomfort.

Water intoxication? Hallucinations, dizziness, fainting, slurred speech? That sounds a little harmful.

If you drink too much water your blood plasma increases, which makes the salt in your blood diluted. If you sweat during this, you also begin to lose more salt.

Drinking too much water affects brain, heart, and muscle functions. Other than water intoxication it's called hyponatremia. Drinking too much water can put you in a coma, or kill you.

As to the op; drinking 'quite a lot of water' usually isn't actually drinking a lot of water. To start feeling affects of water intoxication you would need to drink around 35 bottles of water in 2hrs. People usually try doing that to flush their system so they can pass a drug test.

As you haven't specified bottle size ...

I have read as little as 3 litres in an hour is sufficient ( eg a quick google got me source 1 (http://www.urban75.com/Drugs/drugxtc1.html) via the Times),. The kidneys metabolise 1l of water per hour and some sources (http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=strange-but-true-drinking-too-much-water-can-kill)appear to suggest lower levels can prove fatal.

So 3l is 15 200ml (small) bottles for example.

Not trying to worry you but to much water can be really bad. I remember seeing this http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/bradford/7779079.stm a few years ago. Obviously that's a very extreme case.
I think all you can do is sit it out and let the water pass. As for the lump if that doesn't go away in about 24 hours I'd get it checked out by a doctor. I'm not recommending this but I drank a lot of fluids once and I induced vomiting and it helped with the discomfort(obviously that's not good for you though).
