Okay, so my period ended a week ago. Today I've been having blood in my discharge. I can't figure out what it is. I haven't injured myself in there somehow, and nothing is hurting. :what: Could it be an infection? And should I go to a doctor? I am so scared to talk to me mom about this. :eek2:

This would better suit the VT General Hospital

Puberty for Girls  VT General Hospital

This is not my area of knowledge. However if you are concerned I would contact your doctor. I think since your 16 you can make an appointment without parental permission and if you do have to talk to your mother then she'll understand, she's a women after all and she'll only have your best interests at heart. Heck she might even be able to give you information which might result in not having to go to the doctors. Honestly I wouldn't worry about telling your mum I mean lets face it, your health would be something she in concerned about and she'll understand. It might be embarrassing. However when it comes to your health do you really want to take any chances?

If its in your stool tell your mom as soon as possable as this can be very serious.

If you just got off of your period, it's probably just spotting, which happens more commonly if you use any sort of birth control, but can happen even if not. It isn't dangerous, just annoying. But, to be on the safe side, I'd contact a doctor to make sure it isn't something wrong.
