Okay, I've been working on making a surround sound headset for a while now and i finally have enough wire (and speakers) to make a basic 5.1 surround sound headset, but what kind of cable do I use I can't seem to find anything that shows me a cable of a surround sound headset. is it the same as that of a stereo headset? if so how would that be wired? if not then what should I look for?

I'm using a pair of headphones that were originally wireless, on the side it says "SBC HC8435 PHILIPS" I got them at a resale shop and unfortunatly the transmitter got lost so I rewired them to be wired. but they have plenty of potential to be made into surround sound headphones. (I've already swapped out the original speakers for slightly larger and better speakers)

You're trying to make a what? That isn't possible, you can only (practically) have 2 speakers in a headset.

That isn't possible only because there are two channels, even then surround sound systems are generally speakers. It wouldn't transition well to headphones because there are only the left and right channel while Surround sounds can have multiple.. Only having two would kind of defeat the purpose of surround sound:P

It's not actually going to be surround sound. You don't have ears on the back of your head :P

Its possible, but to buy one is expensive and building a DIY one gives me something to do.

And when I meant speakers I meant the type you would see in this. and that is a store bought surround sound headset. 7.1 surroundsound is too complicated to wire though, so I would go with a quad or 5.1 speaker setup, walmart where I live had a 7.1 surround sound headset station where you could try them, they sounded freaking awesome.
