Internet Speed?

How can I improve my internet speed? It seems like whenever I've been on VT today it's just been sluggish and annoying. Any ideas?

Clear out your internet temporary files. It apparantly helps. Also, if you close any background programmes then the browser will probably run faster anyway. I know this sounds obvious but it's the simple things that make a huge difference.


How about running a virus scan, as worms often clog the registry and drain your resources even lower. Ok this could open another 'can of worms' :P but in the long run it's better to know you have a virus than leave it be.

I've noticed that if you change your DNS, sometimes that helps. I use the Google one, but I've heard good things about OpenDNS also.

It could also just be the servers, if it's just VirtualTeen that's causing you problems.
