Hi, I want to enter NaNoWriMo 2012 with a gay teen romance novel but I absolutely suck at titles. I was going to call it "Empty Closets, Blossoming Daisies" do you guys think that sounds good? If not, have any suggestions?

Don't stress it too much. You don't exactly need a title for NaNo. Take what can accurately convey your story and throw (working title) at the end. You've got four more days to outline, you know. Don't waste it on the title. :P
I just named mine after the world it's set in so I can worry more about the outlining, and when the real name becomes apparent then I'll change it.

I would help you anyway but I have no clue what your novel is about. :P Genre doesn't really cut it for that. In the past, I would take whatever is highly symbolized in the work and make a title out of it. Well, my last project was named something completely different so early on I could never think of it as any other title, but it had a recurring theme of poppies and Edgar Allan Poe which I contemplated during naming. I've currently got a few ideas circulating for NaNo while I'm planning, including my tarot references (Hanged Man card specifically) which also ties into my mythology references (Odin and the world tree and various dream folklore).

I think just "Empty Closets" would work nicely, but without knowing a little more about what goes on in your novel I guess I can't help you much.

The title should be written after the book has been finished. But try to emphasize what he book is really about. Like a recurring theme in the book. Sorry, I propably didn't help too much.

Yes. Finish the story first and then you can come up with a witty and clever title.

Okay, will do. I didn't know you could do that, thanks!
