Was this justified? Thoughts?

Yes because he was resisting arrest and making a huge scene. I have no sympathy for him. He made a conscious decision to ignore the police. It's his own fault. That was college student not a child.

He was also warned he was gonna be tasered. He chose to ignore it. It's his own fault.

I agree with Anthony, he brought it on himself.

He got what was coming. If I was the cop, he would of gotten it more than once.

Got what he deserved. He was being a jerk and causing a scene where one wasnt neccesary. He resisted arrest and cops have the right to use force where needed. He was just trying to get away with it but ended up making it worse. I woulduve just done what the cops said and left the building.

I agree with everyone else... This isn't turning into much of a debate, maybe it should be moved to TWPR?

No because we want to leave the oppurtunity open of someone who might have a different opinion.

K, I wasn't demanding it, it was just a suggestion.

And I simply denied your suggestion. :) I didn't take it as a demand.

I think this is actually kinda iffy.

I agree he had it coming, but when you've got 6 cops on him, just drag him out. Don't laser him.

well honestly, none of our opinions matter, but... The guy was trying to spill some top secret information which i believe to be true ( george bush actually losing the past election with John Kerry) was arrested by police. That was wrong. Seems like the USA is slowly loosing that thing we call democracy and freedom of speech, could be slowly on its way to facism. As for the guy, since it was in the States he probably shouldve just accepted the arrest and tried for legal action afterwards, since sueing in the United States is much easier and common then anywhere else in the world. So the cops messed up first, then the guy messed up second. They are both wrong.

Incorrect, John Kerry said that he would answer one last question, kid starts saying it.

Then the tasered guy runs in and steals the microphone, but John Kerry allowed him to voice his opinion, but then he just starts disrupting the whole thing. He wasn't even supposed to be there, and causing a public disturbance is arrestable. The Cops (although those were security guards, FYI) were in the right up to the taser.

Well I dont think he was resisting arrest.
Well the story is is that he was confronting John Jerry a\bout the War in Iraq. And then he got really into it and the cops wanted him to stop but he did not have to because of according to the Bill of Rights you have a little freedom called the FREEDOM OF SPEECH! He did not do anything wrong and I at the least instead of him being arrested the cops should have been fired. So yeah he did nothing wrong and the cops overreacted. and NO he didnt have it "comin"!

We have a law that gives freedom of speech. As long as he was not harming anyone, I dont see why they had to taser him.

People really need to research into a case before you debate it. The question and answer time was over and he got pissed and started yelling and screaming and got on a mic and was being threatening. The organizers of the event wanted him out because he was causing a huge scene. The people in charge told the cops to escort him out. The cops followed suit.

Why don't you read the police report that was covered by several eye witnesses
http://i.a.cnn.net/cnn/2007/images/09/18/offense.report.072274.pdf

The video Dante posted was cut and scenes were put together so that is not an accurate representation of what happened.

Oh Im sorry. I guess my sources at CBS a frickin week ago was inaccurate. So to be quite honest I did do my homework. I guess it just seemed to be out of date and inaccurate but yeah the research was done.
