FRIENDZONE or potential girlfirend???

So I've been slight friends with this shy girl for about
a year now, we recently started hanging out more often and
subconsciously I have been flirty with her. She responds well though
cause when we watch movies she is very cuddly and we send each other
sweet texts but I get really mixed signals! This is tearing me apart
cause one second it feels like she literary wants my dick but the other
second she acts all "we are just friends". Her birthday is coming up
and I wonder if I should buy her a present and "seal the deal". We are
both 17 and she never had a boy in her life so I'm a little nervous
about how she might respond. Should I go for it? Please help.

i say go for it ^^ but not right away, lead slowly up to it. or, before that, just tell her how you feel, because, I don't want to discourage you one bit because I'm rooting for you all the way, but if she jut somehow happens not to like you in that way (YET! ;3) it could discourage her somewhat if you tell her on her bday ^^ but fyi, i'm a hopeless romantic, don't rely on me too much xD sorry. but good luck! <3

Just be straight with her and tell her what you feel. Don't be blunt but just gently tell her and as it seems she reciprocates yet she's shy and unsure (the latter is typical with females) so just take her response positively and let her know that you're there if she decides it's time... which usually just ends up happening instead of "oh hey I'm ready" lol
