but seriously. i'm getting so triggered lately. everything i do is a precaution not to self harm. i'm holding the razor now, and i'll prolly put it back but i just need something answered.

give me three reasons what i can do instead of self harming. i really need the help. sorry, i'm making threads like this. i don't wanna take up the space :/

its fine. you're not bothering anybody.

you could write a story, go for a walk, watch tv, listen to music, or even pop a rubber band on your wrist. just do something to keep yourself busy. sorry i'm not much help. i'm kinda on the same boat as you.

Listen to your favorite music, write a Poem, get all your thoughts on paper.

Take a shower, watch a movie/tv show (especially one that you know won't trigger you), go out for a run.

Maybe eat a chilli/hot sweet or take a cold shower. It'll give you a shock and some of the release self harm helps with. You can see where I'm coming from, right? Try it anyway.
If not, exercise. Just jump up and down on the spot until you get tired. Take your anger and frustration out as you jump.

I'm in the same boat as you, I guess..
To try and take my mind off cutting I usually:
Write a story - sometimes depressing ones make me feel better, sometimes happy ones are better. Just do what feels right, and write.
Listen to music - Just blasting my music on full volume and forgetting about everything makes me feel better - the song choice is up to you.
Ping an elastic band around my wrist - Yes, it's still self-harm but it's not generally as bad and doesn't leave scars! Up to you, but this actually works for me.
Stay strong, please don't cut.
