What are the advantages and disadvantages of shaving your pubes.

A couple of advantages to shaving are significantly lower odds of contracting crabs if sexually active, a lot of girls prefer trimmed/shaved pubes, and its just more cleanly. I guess that last one is an opinion though.

The only disadvantage I can think of is taking the time out of your day to shave, especially if you haven't in a while.

Well, to me, it only itched the first few times you start shaving, and then after that, the itching goes away. So, it probably will be itchy the first few times, but after that, its not.

mmm well lots of people like to rock the prepubescent shaved look but there are also a lot of ppl who prefer untrimmed. if you shave it'll probably be kind of itchy it might even chafe, and if you don't do it properly you'll get red bumps and maybe even ingrown hairs. Maybe you should consider waxing

LOL at Sam ^ but it is true...many guys wait and wait and wait to get pubes ....but I do shave cause of swimming and yes you have to do it right or could get really red and bumpy...the advantages that have been listed are all true, plus some say that it makes your dick look bigger.....I prefer to trim when I don't have to shave cause of swimming tho

Use baby powder and it will fix all your problems in regards to it being a disadvantage! Nuff said

I have trimmed multiple times, but shaved once... When I shaved it didn't get completely smooth, and I was scared to go around the penis base and the sack... So it kinda looked weird. and when they started growing back they got really stubbly and uncomfortable because whenever you want to flip your boner up into the waste band it pricks your dick, and when you are sitting down sometimes you can feel it rub up against your thighs and it feels really weird. I would say just to trim really short....
