I'm really sorry for the 2 of you, loss is always so hard, especially parents. You both can relate to the other's feelings and experience, which helps. feel free to share here in this thread, too, so others can help (me too!).

I lost my father about 1 year ago. I'm barley more experienced then you in this matter, but I have gone a little further. I'm not going to lie to you, it's still very hard. There are times when i feel like giving up. I sometimes just don't understand why this is happening to me. I miss him so much, but when that happens there s one person I turn to. God. He has helped me through so much of this tragedy. It may sound dumb to you, but the next time you are feeling sad, or down about the situations, ask go to comfort you. Don't be angry with god by the way, everything happens for a reason, EVERYTHING!

Cheer-up, I have a friend who lost his dad 6 years ago, and he says it does get easier eventually. It'll be okay, just keep pushing through.

strangely enough, I was talking to my sister on msn (shes moved out) and she was like why cant you see dad today (dad and mum are divorced) and i was like because i arranged to see a friend....anyway my dad had a heart attack last spring and almost died...and his life expectancy was probably shortened....my sister said when i said I couldnt see my dad...he probably doesnt have long to go you realize. I just burst out crying over that thought. thats probably nothing compared to what you guys had/having to deal with so I feel so sorry for you.
