I'm Kevin. I admire Denis Diderot, Isaac Newton, Goethe, Kierkegaard, and I really, really like David Foster Wallace's work. I don't like compulsory school. It's absolutely one of the most idiotic things we have kept for too long in this day and age. I am a big fan of reading, and thanks to school I have not been able to read all the books I've wanted to because they took up my time forcing me to re-read books I read as a kid with people who probably don't even know what the Enlightenment was.
I have not yet read a lot of the classics because I can't really afford them and I am not going to succumb to download them online (I NEED a physical copy otherwise I can't). My local library is a disaster, it doesn't have anything. And if they do have something, it's been translated (and ruined) into Swedish (I live in Sweden).

The people in my school are in denial that history and books have any value. And think I'm unintelligent for disagreeing with them about matters such as religion. It's wonderful, reminds me of Da Vinci, "blinding ignorance does mislead us, oh! Wretched mortals, open your eyes!" he said something like that, right? Anyway, I'll be fine in time, just got to turn 18 first. I'm 15 now by the way, so I will be sitting here learning, on my own, about actually useful subjects and aquire skills that will actually be needed later in my life. I will most likely drop in every now and then whenever a thought strikes me that would be interesting to discuss.

You'll hear from me.
