So I'm having a bit of a mental block right now and need some feedback. I'm 16 years old and have never had a girlfriend. I know a few girls that I really like and am pretty sure like me and such, but I don't know if I can deal with a relationship. After seeing my parents split I haven't really even considered being in a relationship because I don't want that to happen to me. Is this normal?:what: I really want to be with a girl but don't want to at the same time. I'm straight but all my friends think I'm gay lol. The weird thing is that I don't think I'd have any trouble finding a girl, it's just I don't know if I can handle being supportive of anyone but myself for a while.
Feedback?
Thanks guys

It's completely normal to feel that way after your parents slip up. I felt that way for a ong time. Hell, Paramore even has a song about it. But just because your parents got it wrong doesn't mean it would happen with you, or that they're not glad they were together at one point. The reward is worth more than the risk, trust me. :) I do understand how you feel though, especially about not feeling like you can support someone else. I can barely support myself, I never thought I could handle someone else's feeling on top of mine, but I can. Life is about taking risks. You don't have to if you really don't think you're ready. But maybe just think for a bit, is it really that you don't think you can handle it, or are you just scared? You can't avoid relationships just because your parents didn't work out. Hope this helped a bit :)

You're being true to yourself and that's
good. If you're not feeling it then don't go
through with it. Though these feeling
might last for the rest of your life. Just
remember, you're your own person. You
can be different from your parents. My
parents divorced and i vowed that
divorce will NOT be an option in the
future. Just try out a relationahip. You're
young and you need experience. It'll help
you learn on how to find the right girl for
you
