So recently I've been going through depression for a number of reasons:
1- Being bullied
2- A break up
3- My best friend now hates me.
4- My brothers goal in life is to make me miserable.
5- School problems.
etc.
I even once tried to commit suicide, but luckily I talked myself out of it. All I'm asking for is some helpful advice that will help me get through the depression. Thank you.

I guess my best advice is too talk to someone. Maybe a school counselor. It takes a lot of courage but it will get better. :D

Like Francisco said try to talk to someone, the worst thing to do is bottle it up.

It sounds like you're going through a really rough time, Marcus.
Please could you explain some of your feelings of depression? How does the way you feel affect your day to day life? Lastly, before you started to feel depressed, did you have any particular hobbies or interests? I'm asking these questions just to try and understand a little more about how you're feeling and what could be the problem.
I'm here for you, bud. I want to help you through your problems; I know how bad things can get.

Well, my hobbies are gaming and drawing but with school getting in the way it's hard to do that. My feelings vary day-to-day but theres always this sad feeling in the back of my head. Some days I'm so depressed that I almost have mental breakdowns in class.

If school was not getting in the way of your hobbies, do you think you would still be interested in them?
Could I just ask how old you are?
So, when you describe that you feel like you almost have mental breakdowns, do you find yourself quite teary and on edge? Do you think you might be experiencing anything else physically or emotionally? A couple of examples of possible emotional symptoms of depression include having a continuous low mood, feeling worthless or hopeless, feeling irritable and sometimes intolerant of others, having particularly low self esteem etc. Physical symptoms can include significant increases or, more usually decreases, in appetite, lack of energy and interest in sex etc.
You might want to refer to this website (http://www.helpguide.org/mental/depression_signs_types_diagnosis_treatment.htm) so you can get a little more personal understanding of depression. The box not far down titled 'Are you depressed?' might be of use to you. The text not far below titled 'common signs and symptoms of depression' might also be of helpful use to you.
If from what I have described and the website above has described you do not feel you are able to relate very much, then this could suggest that you don't have medical depression and you are really just running through a pretty horrible patch. If this is the case, you may find it helpful talking to some kind of counselor. With a counselor you would be able to express whatever you want and get things in the open so you can start confronting your troubles and hopefully getting past them.
Let me know your thoughts. For now though, don't worry - it's really good you've come here to get some advice. :)

Too be honest I am feeling those things. I'm 15. Constantly I feel miserable and sadly take my anger out on others. My friends have noticed that I've been acting like a jerk for the past few months because of this depression and I haven't been the person I was 3 months ago. I feel like people are always making fun of me behind my back and sometimes it gets to the point where I just want to lock myself in my room and give up on life. I'll try to talk to someone about it and hopefully that will help. Thanks for the advice.
