I guess it's more comfortable not to wear briefs because, you know, they have a lot hanging about.

Still it's no an excuse to not wear boxers or something.

Guys freeball because it feels good. It feels a hell of a lot better than wearing underwear. I choose to wear boxer briefs most of the time because I like the support, but I do freeball occasionally because it feels so good.

As for showing it off in public, I don't think guys intentionally mean to do that. Some might, but most of the time I don't think they mean to. Freeballing can be quite noticeable if you are wearing certain types of pants/shorts.

I don't view freeballing as gross or wrong in the least. As long as you are clean and you are bathing, then it's not gross or unhygienic. I think you just have to be a guy to really realize and fully understand why guys do it.

I always wear boxers/boxer briefs and compression shorts when not in pajamas. I'm very active, so it saves a big hassle. I always wear some sort of underwear, going commando is painful. So many zippers n s*** to get your man parts cut on.
