Hi! Recently I've realized I've been over eating and still feeling hungry, I still do the same amount of exercise but I'm worried that if I continue to keep eating as much as I do now, I'll gain weight :( I can't really not eat, because I get too hungry and I'll be too distracted when I'm in class because of my hunger- do you guys have any tips to stop me feeling too hungry during the day?
Does anybody else have the same problem as me?

 Sports and Fitness.

This is more fitness and health related than puberty related.

I always drink water when I'm hungry and It's not a meal time. I try not to snack at all because it seems to just start building up how much I will eat. In my opinion you can train yourself not to be hungry. Just try slowly reducing what you eat and keep hydrated, apparently your body can mistake thirst for hunger so it might help.

I just read yesterday that Chromium supplements may help control appetite.

Also eating breakfast is important as it can really help control your appetite but a recent study showed that you crave more fatty foods if you skip breakfast. I recommend something filling like porridge (excellent source of slow release carbs).

Make sure you are sleeping a good 8 hours - tiredness can link into hunger feelings.

I think that it is more important to be healthy rather than to worry about gaining a little bit of weight. To me , based on your statement it sounds like you could be experiencing Anorexia Nervosa. Behaviors of individuals with anorexia are: obsession with food, thoughts of food and may exhibit other obsessions and/or compulsions related to food, controlling food intake, weight, or body shape . Just something to consider.

However, if you really feel as if you are overeating,( I mean hundreds/thousands of calories more than you should be) some tips to control how much you are eating are:

Dehydration - Hunger symptoms can occur if you're dehydrated. Try drinking something before deciding upon something to eat.

Eat healthy fats. Choose a handful of nuts as a snack which can curb hunger.

Train your body by eating at the same time every day. Resist eating between meals. Within a few weeks, hunger symptoms between meals should disappear.

Eat high fiber foods such as apples, oranges, celery, etc. which can make you feel fuller. Also include grains, legumes and vegetables. A healthy, well-balanced diet is very effective in curbing hunger.

Eat only three meals a day. Train your body by eating at the same time every day. Resist eating between meals. Within a few weeks, hunger symptoms between meals should disappear.

Do not avoid eating. Do not ignore your body's essential needs.

Also, I would use caution and do my homework/research before using supplements because there are a lot of false marketing/advertising claims out there. If you want to do some research on supplements and make an informed decision, here is a good site

don't use supplements or anything. you're probably just making it out to yourself that you're overeating but you're not. I worked out for my friend who is a girl that her overeating and unhealthy diet only equalled 1800 calories.
you can drink lots of water but make sure to get in 2000 calories and light exercise

Yeah I've had the problem before I usually try to fight it but it something that is filling or like a sucker helps me sometimes.
