Soon I will have to stand in front of a group of my peers and will have to give a speech on any chosen subject (which I have already chosen) My English teacher shall be judging any little mistake I make, like not accentuating a point using my hands  this has unnerved me, so any tips to doing this with confidence?

Well I may not be an expert, but for a start, speak slower. This will let you comprehend and say the words better. Also, maybe practise by speaking to your family or friends, to build up your confidence. And a final thing, don't get too worried :) if you might make little mistakes that will lower your mark, then I expect the majority of your classmates will as well. If you go wrong just keep going.

P.S Try to add a little comedy in there, adds to the entertainment factor!

Thanks for the advice, while watching the other people's exams I noticed they were speaking too quickly, I will try to calm down and tell myself it'll go well :D

I will try to calm down and tell myself it'll go well

Part 1) I will try to calm down
Part 2) tell myself it'll go well

part one is good, calm your self, but with part 2, that is what makes me make mistakes, overthinking things. just use your notes(if you can) or remeber it well. but try not thinking of it too much before the exam

Both the above advices are best.
1) Speak slowly but try to speak correctly.
2) It's very important to use correct grammar.
3) So speak slowly and clearly, give proper balance to proper words.
4) For building confidence, try to speak in front of mirror for practice purpose, this is what I used to do before any seminar and paper presentation.
