Please. I really advise anybody out there struggling with self harm or even thinking about harming your self, get help. The other night, I attempted to commite suicide with an overdose. And I was almost sucessful. I went to the hospitle in an ambulance (unconcious) and they hooked my up to monitors, IV's, ect. They Section 12'd me and sent me to a program. I went to a mental health hospitle called Providence. They helped me out a lot. So please. Get the help. You will be sooo much happier once you do. I know how hard it is to reach out, but you have to. Tell a tharapist, teacher, parent, uncle, aunt, sister, brother, friend, whoever. But just don't kill your self. I hope by writing this I can help at least one person put the razor down, and get help.

It's not always that easy to 'get help'. I've reached out countless times and end up worse after it - which is why I don't bother anymore.

Uh, okay. Cutting and self harm are NOT suicide attempts, nor are they even necessarily present in suicidal people. I appreciate the sentiment and believe that a lot of us know to get help, but honestly your ignorance on the matter is doing more harm than good, because it reminds us how people judge us for what we do with our own bodies.

Well, I'm sorry you feel that way. But I am not judging. I am trying to help, because I've lost friends to self harm. And even if self harm isn't alway a suicide attempt, it can be. So before you start being rude, calling me ignorant, and coming at me like I'm doing something wrong, look at what I wrote from another prospective instead of looking at it in your oswn selfish ways. Just because it doesn't fit you, doesn't mean this wont help anybody else.

I know its hard. It took me this long to get the help I need. And if something didn't work for you, try something else. But self harm is dangerous. I'd cut for the past few years, and I finally got the help I needed. Its not going to happen right away. You just have to keep trying, and I wish you good luck :)

I agree with this as well. I always find posts like this to be useless anyway. Maybe it's just me, but someone telling me cutting is harmful and that I should get help doesn't make any difference to me, it's just stuff I already know. I think most people who do it pretty much know it's not a good habit and they they should try whatever it takes to stop. I guess it's one thing to encourage people to get through whatever they're struggling with, but saying it like you're advising someone to do it, as if they don't already know they should just seems kind of.. I don't know, not the way to go about it. I don't know, that's just how I feel about it, maybe your post could help someone.

I appreciate what your saying, and thank you for the support, but workingatperfect basically covered anything else I was going to say:
