Getting on a texting basis with girls

Hi everyone. Recently I've been thinking, my friend group has no girls in it, and I would quite like to be friends with them. I see other boys happily chatting and laughing with them, but when I try I feel I don't belong. How can I change this and become friends with girls.:) thanks.

Just talk to them about things you like or they like or something like really interesting like in the last couple minutes of class so you can't finish the story and when you run out of time be like here is my number text me and I'll tell you the rest.

To become friends with girls all you have to do is talk with them like you would with a guy(obviously not the same topics). Just be friendly and approachable let people know they can trust you. To get on a texting basis all I ever do is text them saying "hi it's Nick" and it usually works out pretty well!

Simple answer is sit down or go over and talk to the boy while hes talking with the girl and try to make some jokes or somehow join in the conversation and it won't feel awkward if you go about it the right away.

Just act confident, but not to the point of being a jackass. Be nice, but don't be submissive. Girls aren't aliens, you know. If you can talk to girls the way you talk to guys then it should be fine.
