What is your favorite professional video editing program and why?

Mine: Adobe Premiere Pro
Reason/s: I really like the user interface on it, and I find it not to difficult to use, but contains all the features you could need. The render speed also seems pretty good depending on if you have a dedicated GPU or not.

I tried to include most of the major video editing software packages I could find, if you think I am missing a MAJOR one, let me know.

I like Pinnacle because thats just what I am used to. We have had to use it for countless school projects.

Lately though, I have started messing around with Premier Pro, it seems pretty good also.

I've tried several different video editing programs, but I've always gone back to Sony Vegas Pro. Final Cut Pro X is also a close second for me.

iMovie is not exactly professional.

I've used one version or another of Sony Vegas Pro for every important project that I've ever done. Definitely the most user-friendly professional program out there. Heard a lot of good things about Premiere Pro though, apparently it's a lot easier to use once you get used to it and the rendering process is ridiculously fast.

I think that Final Cut will do the job almost every time, but for some special effects you should combine with Sony Vegas.

I usually use Sony Vegas. I'm not really sure if it's my "favorite" since I haven't used any other professional video editing programs, but it's pretty easy to use so I like it.

Pinnacle Studio isn't a professional NLE by the way, and Roxio Creator isn't a NLE at all. It's disk burning application.

I use Final Cut Pro X because Mac, but I also have Adobe Premiere Pro which is a bit complicated, but excellent for editing. I used Sony Vegas Pro a bit, and it was ok. Has a lot of neat features like pith shifting which Final Cut doesn't to my knowledge.

Mostly use CS6. I like that it integrates nicely with other adobe stuff.
