I currently have a version of both Pokemon Emerald and Pokemon Fire Red. My friend beat them both using every starter, and is quite frankly a bit bored. The problem is, neither of us know anyone that can do it. Since I'm a little more computer smart than he is, though I'm not the brightest either. I just need advice on what programs to use and the basics on what to do. If I don't understand how to use it, I'll ask here, but I should be able to do fine. By the way, he played the more popular hacks, too

So you want to make your own ROM Hack? Well for that you need advance map, advance text, the starter editor, maybe a few palette editors, and an emulator (duh). Just YouTube search for "how to make a Pokemon rom hack" and you should get a few videos linking to a zip archive with all the stuff you need. Have fun and make sure to let me know how it goes, and maybe let me playtest it ;)
