Do guys actually text?

So, the only people i text on a regular basis are girls, once in awhile i'll text one of my guy friends to see if they want to hang out(which they never do).. So i was wondering do guys text their guy friends like more constant than just to see if they want to hang out or is it just a social "no-no" OR do they(i suppose i should say we) only text girls? Or am i one of the only guys that dont text guys regularly? .....soo many or's lol

I find myself texting pretty much only girls too. I wish more guy friends text editor back, but.... Idk why they don't 0_o

In all honesty, it depends on the person. There are some guys who I will text/talk to quite a bit, and others who it will just be if I need to know something or want to hang out. Girls by and large text more often than guys, but there are guys who do it too. Again, it just depends on what kind of person you--and the person you are texting--are.

I am kinda the same as you with the exception of one guy friend. Most it's "you coming out" then "yeah" and then we decide where we will meet but one of my friends I text all the time, if I'm not with him I'm texting or on the phone to him I do like him as a bit more of a friend though;). some guys could be like that with all their friends though.

I must be like a guy in that way, then. xD I wait till it's late/I'm bored to reply, unless it's an emergency. To answer your question, OP, I guess it depends on the person. A feww of my guy friends respond within minutes, while others take their time.

I text a lot. Used to even more, but I've noticed how it's much nicer to communicate in person so I don't text as much.

i don't text but then again i lost my phone in april and I haven't gotten a new one. but still i don't think i would be a tester if i got a new one. :D

Yes I think some do....I don't, nor does my older brother. We don't even have text capabilities on our phone anyways

Depends on my mood actually. When i'm bored, I'll reply back. But when I'm busy or just don't feel like it, I'll just ignore. It applies for both guys and girls. Unless it's a crush. :P

My bf texts just guys on our low down hang out days. I'll be lazing on the sofa and he's going to town texting every male in our country it seems. He's not the only guy I know that texts mainly males, just the only one I can say that does.

I expect they do. It's one way of communicating. But it depends on the person. I don't myself because I have no one to text, boy or girl.

I'm probably one of the few guys who have testing habbits of girls because I can get up to 500 text a week or if it was something serious that day 200 a day

It depends on the person! I would text a guy friend who would be closer to me, than just a friend! Now girls tend to enjoy deep conversation with the guys, since I feel like that's just a natural thing as we human beings do! I mean that's why it's guy and a girl who marries (with an exception!) and because of that, you can see it how we all act to each other!

I don't like texting at all, first I had to get used to the text keyboard back in 2006 when I was exposed to that technology and now all of a sudden we have touch technology with auto correct? I believe in the power of a good old fashioned phone call. Feels much more personal.

I used to like to text friends when I was like 12-14 but then it was not as fun...
On fb or text, I prefer to talk to girls than boys...only during emergency cases that I will text boys...
Most boys do not text regularly though...it depends on the nature of the people.

I SMS people regardless if they're a boy or a girl, but I try to limit it, because I don't want to just waste off all my credit. I'm the one who solely pays for my phone, and I don't have an income at all, so I'm weary of that, and I keep a close eye on my credit balance.
Although most of my friends are girls, so it's just logical that I text girls more often than guys. Also, my phone is... Older (Nokia N96, I love it though) and it doesn't have the chat-style layout for texting—that makes it a little complicated when texting, and having an actual conversation.
I don't mind texting, but I would much prefer communicating or hanging out. In person, that is.

I used to text alot to one of my guy best buddy. Since we didn't contact for months or so and slowly don't keep in touch at all, I find myself to text very rarely now. My phone is more of an ios gaming device to me right now.
Oddly, I don't text girls from the past until now, since no girls have ever really initiate a chat with me on text...

But, normally it's either my bestfriend (girl) so we talk about literally anything, or it's my cousin (girl) so we just talk lol.
Whenever I text a guy (that I don't have a thing for) it's normally just if I need info on something.

I am the absolute opposite. I make sure that I'm (almost) always reachable - often by phone, so I usually have my phone on me (and Skype on call-forward).
