no one actually cares
oh sure, they will look at you
with glass eyes
and painted smiles
and snowflake words
that sound so comforting
but when the snow melts
and the glass shatters
and the paint washes away
there is nothing left but
the truth
the people who pretend
to care because they
didn't want to feel responsible
if you do something crazy
the people who feel obligated to help
because you are their "friend"
but in their mind they think you are a freak
you are so desperate for some one who cares
that you believe the icicle lie
of glass eyes
