I hope you can find the strength to quit Mikey.....smoking is not good for you . My dad died of emphysema which is a lung disease caused (in his case) by excessive smoking.

If you can't do it for you....do it for your girlfriend. Ask for help. (I assume she does not smoke?)

If your g/f is not a smoker she most likely detests your smoking but is kind enough not to hassle you about it.

One other thing: Smoking costs $$$. Make a point to take the money that you would have spent on cigs and put it away. Be sure to use that money for something special for you and your g/f. Something to look forward to.

You can do it. Focus on it and don't give in. The stuff is nasty and addicting but you are stronger than that.

Have you tried that non-smoking gum? That might help. And agin you have to think of your girlfriend. If you can't stop for yourself, stop for her.

What you gotta do to be sure you wanna quit is take the pack you have right now and throw it away. It'll be tough to quit considering your brain is wired to want nicotine(It won't always be like that so don't freak out, the cravings just get less irritating.) And instead chew regular gum or Sunflower Seeds! You won't feel the need to smoke when doing that because you'll be having some sort of oral stimulation.

If your girlfriend's sister is giving you problems don't let your first reaction to having a smoke because that's just a rationalization for smoking. You do it because you like it. Instead just ignore her or go to another room and try not to think about it. Depending on how much you smoke it can take a few days or the most a week or two for the cravings to stop bothering you.
